LEATHERWOLF, METAL CHURCH Singer Confirmed For Los Angeles' CLIVEAID
May 3, 2007Ronny Munroe (METAL CHURCH singer),LEATHERWOLF, HUCK JOHNS, MY EVOLUTION and CRUEL are among the confirmed bands for California's Cliveaid — which was set up in 2004 as a fund-raising event for original IRON MAIDEN drummer Clive Burr (who suffers from multiple sclerosis). The concert will most likely take place on September 22 at the Los Angeles Forum, although this has not yet been officially confirmed. A number of headlining acts will be announced soon.
Burr is suffering from multiple sclerosis — a disease of unknown cause. The disorder is causing him intermittent numbness and can affect his balance. At present there is no known cure for MS, although he is helping test new drugs in the hope that his body response may contribute to a cure.
Clive joined the band at the very end of December 1979 and played on the first three albums — "Iron Maiden", "Killers" and "Number of the Beast" — and toured extensively with the band over this groundbreaking period before leaving in early 1983.
